Winning the Race Coalition: Campaigning for a strong Single Equality Bill and Race Equality Legislation

Coalition Activities

We are targeting specific initiatives to have maximum impact in:

  • engaging and informing BAME communities about the Bill
  • preparing and enabling BAME communities to use the Bill once it is passed
  • informing the policy and legislative process leading to the passing of the Bill, (through face to face meetings with policy makers, lobbying MPs and peers)
  • increasing the awareness and engagement levels of BAME communities (through training, publications and events)
  • collecting evidence and making it available to government and other stakeholders on the specific needs and circumstances of BAME communities, ensuring that they are heard and represented.

To join the Coalition and for further information please contact Dr Elizabeth Henry.
